Vice-Principal, Spanish Teacher

I joined RIS in September 2023 from Southlands British International School in Rome. Before moving to Rome, I worked at St Michael’s College in London. I brought along my strong commitment to promote professional excellence in teaching and support learners to achieve and flourish as individuals and citizens of the world.

I have studied and worked in different countries. I did my MA in Leading Innovation and Change in Education at St Mary’s University, London, where I had previously completed a PGCE in Languages. I gained extensive expertise working in state and private educational institutions, including primary, secondary schools and university. I have also worked as programme manager for an NGO in the field of innovation in schools.

As Deputy Head of Senior School at Southlands, I was able to develop my skills within the challenges of leading a multinational group of students and Form tutors pastorally. My own interactions and rapport with students are based on knowing them as individuals, which is a luxury I relish. At RIS, I enjoy my role as Pastoral Coordinator and teaching Spanish language and literature to High School students.

I have high expectations not only of myself, but also of colleagues and students as I am a firm believer that a shared vision is crucial to personal and collective goals being fulfilled, both academically and pastorally. Additionally, I believe passionately in education as a lifelong, life-wide and life-deep learning experience that enables learners to embrace the challenges and seize the opportunities of the 21st century.
